Business mogul Dantata donates N1.5bn to Borno flood victims

Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata has donated N1.5 billion to victims of the flood that affected major parts of Maiduguri, Borno State on Tuesday.

The businessman disclosed the donation when he was received by Governor Babagana Zulum at Government House, Maiduguri.

According to him, “I am extending my deep condolences to the government and people of the state and those who lost their families beloved in the flood.”

“I pray for the peace in Borno State and Nigeria,” Alhaji Dantata said.

Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for the businessman for his visit and his concern.

“The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of humanity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me say it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims. May Allah bless and reward you with Aljannah. Mu gode, Baba,” Zulum said.

The 96-year old businessman is the patriarch of the Dantata family and nephew of Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
