Cardinal Arinze’s community produces another international cleric as Archbishop Nzekwesi is enthroned

It was a memorable and colourful occasion in Eziowelle community, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, as dignitaries, clergy, and well-wishers from across Nigeria and the diaspora gathered to witness the enthronement of Archbishop Dr. Joseph Onyekachukwu Nzekwesi.

Eziowelle is notably the hometown of renowned Catholic prelate, Francis Cardinal Arinze, making the event another moment of pride for the community.

The enthronement ceremony commenced with a solemn Holy Mass, after which Archbishop Nzekwesi was formally invested. The atmosphere was filled with joy as members of his family, friends, and supporters expressed gratitude to God for his elevation.

Speaking with journalists, members of the Archbishop’s family described his journey as challenging but divinely guided, noting that his elevation was made possible through God’s grace and perseverance. They offered prayers and fatherly blessings, asking God to grant him wisdom and strength to excel in his new role in God’s vineyard.

In his remarks, Archbishop Nzekwesi said he was overwhelmed with joy, stating that words could not adequately express his emotions. He thanked Almighty God for counting him worthy of elevation and prayed for abundant grace to enable him to faithfully carry out his responsibilities as an archbishop. He also expressed deep appreciation to his family and friends for their unwavering prayers and support.

Archbishop Dr. Joseph Onyekachukwu Nzekwesi is the General Overseer of Jesus Is Alive Church, headquartered in Eziowelle, Anambra State. The ministry is widely known for its commitment to healing, salvation, empowerment, and prophetic ministry anchored on strong faith in Jesus Christ.

According to records and testimonies from those who know him, Archbishop Nzekwesi has positively impacted many lives through his kindness, generosity, and humanitarian efforts. Beyond ministry, he is also the Chief Executive Officer of Pineleaf Estate and Property Limited.

The enthronement was performed by Archbishop Brinsley Dickson, Apostolic Shepherd and Patriarchal Leader of the United Baptist Faith Archdiocese and St. Ann Spiritual Baptist Church International, alongside Archbishop Dr. Kene Don Ifepe, Founder and Chief Prelate of the Believers Full Gospel Church, Toronto, Canada, who is also the President and Editor-in-Chief of Miles Magazine International. Other eminent bishops joined them in the ordination ceremony held at Jesus Is Alive Church, Eziowelle.
