Chairman Bogoro LG in Bauchi tasks ethnic groups to promote peace, unity for development

All ethnic communities residing  in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State have been called upon to use their various platforms to promote unity and development of the Local Government.

The call was  made by the Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Council, Hon. Iliya Habila in a goodwill message during a football match between Zaar community and Ayaah community of Bogoro Local Government Area.

The Executive Chairman charged the Zaar (Sayawa ) and Ayaah (Boyawa) which are among the indigenous tribes in Bogoro to contribute to the progress of the local economy.

The chairman also noted that the development of Bogoro Local Government will have no positive impact without the cooperation of the existing different ethnic groups living in the area.

The Executive Chairman however enjoined the good people of Bogoro Local Government Area to continue to support the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed towards sustaining the developmental blueprint laid for our beloved state Bauchi.

He thanked the organizers of the football match and urged leaders of ethnic groups to sensitize their members on the dangers of disunity and attitudes that breed hatred in the area.

Earlier the branch Chairman of Zaar Youth Development Association (ZAYODA), Comrade Habila Yawa Ndit said that the objective of the football match was to reactivate the spirit of unity, love for one another and create a platform for more development support in Bogoro LGA and Bauchi state.

Comrade Yawa called on Bogoro Youths irrespective of ethnic background to come together to make LGA a better place for the benefit of all.

He further urged the youth to shun away from behaviour that will disrupt the security of the area and brace love for one another.
