The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) is on the threshold of history with the commencement of direct flights between Nigeria and Israel.
Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam made this known Monday at a press briefing while reviewing the 2022 Main pilgrimage and giving an insight into the 2023 Easter pilgrimage.
According to him, the direct flight would take place on Thursday April 20, 2023 by an Air Peace flight from Nigeria to Israel and back.
On the 2022 Main pilgrimage, Rev. Pam noted that it was very successful with a total of 10 batches.
The Executive Secretary pointed out that the pilgrimage was devoid of any abscondment as the Commission is committed to zero tolerance.
Rev. Pam acknowledged the huge administrative and financial support from President Muhammadu Buhari through the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
He praised many state governors for sponsoring many pilgrims to the Holy land especially those from the core north and urged others to do more.
On the 2023 Easter pilgrimage, he said the exercise would commence on April 26, 2023 with about 2000 intending pilgrims on the list.
