The Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, Bauchi State says anyone less than 40 years or single will not participate in the 2022 pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

Executive Secretary of the Board, Samuel J. Haruna made this known in an exclusive interview with Apex News Exclusive on the preparations for this years’ pilgrimage.

He explained that the forty years benchmark is to ensure that intending participants are married to avoid leaving their spouse behind and decide not to return again because of the beauty of the land.

Samuel Haruna added that those above seventy years will not go as well as the journey will entail much trekking and will require strength.

According to him, the flagging off date is 29th of March 2022 for now and the destination for the pilgrimage is the land of Israel and Jordan.

The Executive Secretary called on Christians to do their best to participate in this trip as the experience will increase their faith as they will be able to see in reality what is read in the bible.

He appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for building a befitting camp in the state for both Christians and Muslims intending to undertake the trip.
