Christians challenged to shun sentiments, look out for competence before electing leaders

Christians have been challenged to Complement prayer with watching to elect competent leaders that is not based on sentiments to save Nigeria from her myraid problems.

Guest Speaker at the Faith Revival Chapel Bauchi, End of year Thanksgiving service and Coordinator Rescue Nigeria Agenda Bishop Dr. Isaac Crown threw this challenge on Sunday during his presentation.

Bishop Crown said it is high time believers actively participate in choosing the right persons to lead based on track records.

He added that those the masses allow to occupy political positions on ground of apathy will in turn make decisions that will in turn affect them.
“Even though you are healthy and you have someone that is sick, you will be somehow affected because you will not do every thing you want to do when you want to do them, this is how we will be affected of we don’t participate and scrutinise the people we vote for as masses” he said.

He lamented that our Religion today has been turned upside down as we pray that God give us a leader who have love for the masses adding that it is not good enough without competence.

Reacting, the General Overseer of the Chapel, Faith Revival Cathedral Archbishop Dr. Charles Yohannan said a Practical definition of competency is captured in the person of Governor Bala Mohammed who have transformed Bauchi within the few years he took the mantle of leadership.

Climax of the event was presentation of merit Awards to different persons including Governor, Bala Mohammed, Hon. Musa Wakil, member Bauchi State House of Assembly, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security among others.
