Clergy Dr. Dopah condemns barbaric killings in Karim-Lamido of Taraba

Last Friday’s barbaric attack by suspected armed herders in Munga-Lelau community in Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State has been described as the most horrible ever, in the history of the ancient community.
As of the last count, not fewer than 70 persons have so far reportedly killed several houses including properties worth billions of naira equally raised down completely.
Also, the whereabouts of several children, women and men in the community are now uncertain while the entire area now remains a shadow of itself.
Speaking on the shocking incidents, Director, Connectional Ministries, United Methodist Church (UMC) Jalingo, Rev. Dr. Philip Micah Dopah who spoke from Orlando, Florida, USA where is currently attending strategic leadership conference condemned in strong term the unwarranted attack.
According to the clergy, who described the inhumanity to fellow human beings as devilish, satanic, barbaric and unethical, said such evil and ungodly behavior by wicked ones should not go unpunished.
Dr. Dopah who made a passionate appeal for prayers concerning Christian brothers and sisters that were killed by suspected Fulani herders urged stakeholders in Karim to liaise with state government (Security operatives) to fish out the attackers immediately without further waste of time and bring them to book.
The outspoken clergy who also condoled the families of those that lost their loved ones, the injured and their properties in the attack, assured them of collective prayers and support of the conference in the present challenges.
Meanwhile, as of time of filing this report, intensive search of dead bodies are still on as security agents drafted in the area disclosed that over 30 more corpses have been recovered between Saturday night and Sunday, while expressing fear that the number might increase more than the ones on ground.
