Commander of 4 Special Forces, Doma begins operational visits to formations

The newly posted Commander of 4 Special Forces Command, Nigerian Army Doma, Nasarawa State, Maj.-Gen. Hillary Nzan, has begun operational visits to formations and units under his command.

This is contained in a statement signed by Maj. Joseph Afolasade, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 4 Special Forces Command, Doma and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Doma Local Government Area of the state.

Maj.-Gen. Nzan had on July 14 took over as the Commander of the special forces from Maj.-Gen. Owyinka Soyele who was transferred to the Army Headquarters, Abuja.

The Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations added that the Commander visited Wawa Cantonment, Kainji, Niger State where he interacted with personnel from Headquarters of 403 Amphibious Brigade, Headquarters Army Giwa Project, 221 Tank Battalion and 101 Special Forces Battalion (Rear).

He also said that the commander also addressed the wives of personnel at the barracks to continue praying for their husbands as they are confronting Bandits and other terrorists in the country.

“Maj-Gen. Nzan also advised the troops during the visit to be one and to see themselves as one body always so as to defeat bandits and other terrorist groups,” he said..

He said that the Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, 101 Rear, Major Ibrahim Mohammed and some senior officers at Wawa Cantonment, Kainji, Niger State.

Maj. Afolasade further said that the commanding officer of 101 Special Forces Battalion (Rear) Major Ibrahim Mohammed briefed the commander of the Special Forces on the activities of the Battalion.

He, therefore said that the highlights of the visit was inspection of quarter guard, briefing by the commanding officer, signing of visitors book, presentation of souvenir and a group photograph.
