CP Shehu Umar Nadada

The newly posted Commissioner of Police to Katsina State CP Shehu Umar Nadada has assumed duty.
This is contained in statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer SP Gambo Isah and made available to newsmen in Katsina.
The statement said CP Shehu Umar Nadada hailed from Rano Local Government Area of Kano State and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1992.
SP Gambo Isah said the new CP has pledged to work with critical stakeholders to provide comprehensive security architecture for the conduct of peaceful elections next year.
The statement pointed out that the command under CP Nadada will decisively deal with the scourge of any form of heinous crimes across the state.

The newly posted CP assured the public that he will work within the ambit of rule of law and respect for human rights while discharging his responsibilities.
Until this appointment, CP Nadada was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of operations.
