Confusion as 2 Speakers emerge in Nasarawa State House of Assembly

Two Speakers have emerged in Nasarawa State House of Assembly. They are the incumbent Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and the contender Daniel Ogah Ogazi.

Abdullahi has been Speaker for tho consecutive terms and is seeking a third term on the position. While Ogazi is wanting to be Speaker for the first term.

Abdullahi is representing Umaisha/Ugye State Constituency in Toto Local Government while Ogazi is representing Kokona East of Kokona Local Government.

Abdullahi was re-elected at the Hall of the State Ministry for Local Government, which was used as temporary Assembly before the permanent complex was built.

The contending Speaker Ogazi

The Acting Clerk of the House, Ibrahim Musa administered the oath of office on Abdullahi as the new Speaker.

While Ogazi was elected at the Chamber of the State House of Assembly.

Governor Abdullahi Sule had congratulated Abdullahi for his victory when the newly re-elected Speaker paid a courtesy call on the Governor at Government House in Lafia.
