Coronavirus lockdown as Nigeria’s national assembly indefinitely defers public hearings, shuts gallery

The Nigeria national Assembly has shelved all its public hearings indefinitely closed the gallery to visitors with effect from March 24, 2020 due to coronavirus epidemic.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, made the announcement when senators returned to the chambers after a two-hour closed door session.
