Coronavirus: Panic in Plateau as 3 Chinese nationals quarantined

Panic enveloped Plateau State as about three Chinese miners in the state are reportedly quarantined as a result of the deadly coronavirus disease.
The three Chinese nationals who are engaged in mining activities in Kampany Zurak community of Wase Local Government Area of the State had traveled for holiday in China where they returned in the heat of the dreaded virus outbreak.
Already, the Nigerian authorities have confirmed a case of a carrier of the virus in Lagos state and is a Italian citizen who has since been under observation at a medical facility in Yaba, Lagos state.
The state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Nimkong Ndam, confirmed on Saturday that information available to the state shows that the victims came into the country after holidaying in China and have been under surveillance supervision by the state ministry.
The Commissioner said the Chinese arrived the state on Friday from Ethiopia for mining activities.
According to him, the three suspects have been isolated at a centre for proper investigation by the health workers who have been sent to the area since Friday for the purpose of observation and any other necessary action.
