Couples Network International graduates 2nd batch of marriage mentors, ministers in Bauchi

The couples Network International in Bauchi state has graduated its second set of marriage Ministers and Mentors equipped to provide solutions to marriages or homes facing different forms of challenges that may lead to divorce.

Addressing a gathering on Sunday at Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, President of the network, Rev. Dr. Okafor T. Emefesi said his intention is to provide marriage Mentors that will expand his vision of addressing different causes of broken homes in Bauchi and indeed Nigeria.

According to him, it is better and cheaper to prevent divorce than to cure it, lamenting that many broken homes are as a result of matrimonial illiteracy, hence the need to train young people.

He argued that many challenges in the society today can be linked to family problems which can be addressed if the couples are knowledgeable

The network President further admonished the new graduands to put their knowledge to practice to bring solutions to marital crisis confronting many homes adding that the next batch will commence their training by May 2024.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Chairman in Bauchi, Reverend Dr. Abraham Damina Dimeus lauded the vision of the president adding that the network now have the backing of CAN.

The CAN Chairman who was also honoured among others as pioneer couples of the network said that many homes or marriaged will not have the problem it had today if they are aware of the kind of knowledge offered by the network.

Highlight of the graduation was the 70th birthday celebration of the Network President Reverend Dr. Emefesi with showers of prayer.

Spokesperson of the graduands assured Pastor Kayode James and Ude Israel respectively said that they are ready to start providing help to families with challenges that may warrant divorce requesting the churches who want their members to be trained on this subject should also reach them.
