COVID-19: Adamawa emergency agency distributes pallaitives to LGs as ordered by Governor Fintiri

The Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) had so far distributed palliatives to the 21 local government councils as directed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Items distributed include 3,948 bags of 50KG rice, 4,545, 25 litres of vegetable oil, 135 bags of 50KG sugar, 21 cartons of Couscous, 21 bags of 50KG beans and 1, 530 cartons of tomatoes paste.

Others are 1, 060 cartons of Spaghetti/Macroni, 480 bales of second hand cloths as well as 57 second hand cloths raps among others distributed to the local government area councils in the state.

The representatives of each local government including council chairmen, members of the house of assembly, commissioners among others have taken delivery of the items for their various local government areas.

In addition, the governor has released N20 million to tricycle operators known as KeKe Napep in the state to cushion the effect of the fourteen day restriction imposed on the state by government to curb the spread of COVID-19.

It could be recalled that Governor  Fintiri promised to provide palliatives to people in Adamawa and direct ADSEMA to distribute foodstuffs to the most vulnerable people.
