The chairman of the committee who is the Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela made this known while addressing journalists at the Government House Bauchi in continuation of the daily press briefing on the progress of the committee.
Senator Tela explained that the Task Force has sent another three samples to the NCDC for test apart from the initial three index cases.
According to him, the result of the second three cases was not clear because of gender and address issues, saying that before concluding the matter, NCDC posted on its website that Bauchi has 6 cases.
“We are not arguing on the capacity of the NCDC, but we have an issue of communication gap between us especially in terms of gender and address of the result sent to us on the second three samples.
“We have sent the result for revaluation, but to our surprise, it was posted by the NCDC that all the three are positive.
On the additional two cases reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, the deputy governor said the result was for the first 3 index case sent to the center for re-testing not for new case.
He said all the confirmed four cases in the state are under management. He then appealed for understanding between the government and the center for clarification on the issues.
