COVID-19: Bishop Okpalaeke urges Christians to assist the needy

The Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Reverend Peter Okpalaeke has encouraged Christians amidst difficulties and challenges of life to always show appreciation and gratitude to God.
Most Reverend Okpalaeke gave the advice during a special Mass to mark
the Divine Mercy Sunday at the Retreat Center Okpuno in Awka South
Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The mass was celebrated live through the ABS Radio, Awka.
The Bishop called for repentance which he said is needed in the life of a Christian especially this period of coronavirus pandemic.
He disclosed that God is compassionate and ever ready to forgive mankind and maintained that Christ died to bring them closer to God.
The Catholic Prelate encouraged the parishioners to render help to others who are in need especially now the COVID-19 is ravaging the International Community.
Our correspondent, reports that prayers and other petitions were offered to bring Coronavirus pandemic to a end.
