COVID-19: Nasarawa assembly member, Hon. Isa distributes rice, guinea corn, drills boreholes for constituents

A member of Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Uke/Karshi Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Bello Isa has distributed 100 bags of rice, 3000 packets of guinea corn, and drilled 4 additional boreholes for his constituents to cushion the effect of coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking exclusively to Apex News Exclusive in Keffi, Isa said providing for the poorest of the poor, who are particularly farmers, and petty business owners is aimed at ameliorating their plight created by the corona hardship. He further stated that as a constituency bordering Abuja, one of the cities worst hit by the virus, no stone will be left unturned to check the spread pattern of the virus.

Some of the measures to ensure this. according to Isa is aggressive awareness creation on how the virus spreads. The dos and the don’ts.
“For the past one week now, I have been following my people, ward by ward, village by village, mosque to mosque, church to church to create awareness. Up till now, many of them in the villages don’t believe the virus is real. Apart from awareness creation, I also provided hand sanitizers, face masks and others requirements. Within this period, I dug four boreholes in Taka Lafiya, Kankefi Shanu, Bagaji Agada and Uke respectively” he stated.

Accordingly, he revealed that the state assembly has liaised with the Ministry of Water Resources for the ongoing repairs of spoiled boreholes across all zones.
Hon. Mohammed also commended efforts of the federal, Nasarawa state governments as well as Karu Local Government Council in the fight against COVID-19.

He asked the people to take advantage of the Holy Month of Ramadan to pray for end of the virus.
