Governor Lalong of Plateau State

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has warned the people against propagating the falsehood that COVID-19 does not exist.
He issued the warning even as he expressed worry over the numerous deaths and infections level of the killer pandemic as he promised to be the number one to present himself for the vaccine whenever it is available
The governor was speaking during a stakeholders parlay on the second wave of the pandemic where he assured that the government has no plans to further lockdown the state as a result of Covid19 because the state can no longer afford the economic downturn.
He said “as you may be aware, we are experiencing the second wave of the corona virus pandemic where there is a resurgence of cases across the nation including here on the Plateau.
“As a result of this, we are recording more daily cases in the State than previously. Sadly, we are also recording increasing number of deaths that is very worrisome”, adding that the COVID-19 protocols enforcement will be looked at decisively.
