Lawmaker representing Billiri North Constituency in Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Rambi Ayala has given some reason why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State needed justice to avert the lingering crisis that is erupting the party.
Ayala while speaking in an interview with Journalists shortly after meeting with PDP members in Billiri to briefed them on the lingering crisis said being a minority leader in Gombe state House of Assembly will not fold his arms and watch his people shortchanged.
He decried the abnormalities which he said that PDP state executive overturn the result of ward congress where elected officials were sworn-in and replace them with other people that did not partake during the election.
The election which was conducted in an orderly manner suffered a setback after the elected officials were sworn-in to take mantle of leadership but later overturned by the state executives.
According to him, the state party executives disfranchised people from voting candidates of their choice.
He said the affected wards that were disfranchised were Bangaje North, Tal, Kalmai and Billiri North which according to him the affected wards file a suit in the court of law to seek for redress.
The said the ward congresses that took place recently in Billiri local government area where officials were elected and sworn-in was successful without any rancho.
Speaking to journalists, one of the PDP stakeholder in Billiri Local Government Area Mr. Tanimu Hamma told Journalists that as they are concern they will go alone with the affected officials who were shortchanged and called on PDP members in Billiri Local Government Area to disassociate themselves with the so-called PDP state executives.
He said the PDP state congress which they claimed have sworn-in new officials, no elections were conducted non of the PDP member from Billiri local government attended the election as claimed by the party.
He accused some members of the party for creating more harm than good which he said something urgent has to be done to avoid the party from collapsing.
