By Akpan David, Calabar

The former Senator who represented Cross River Central Senatorial District, John Owan-Enoh has said he would prefer to declare his governorship ambition in a Church in Ogoja, Cross River State on Sunday April 10, 2022.

He said it is better to first and foremost report to and seek God’s blessings for such a mission.

He addressed a large crowd of supporters in Calabar before setting out with his convoy to Ogoja.

He had invited Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), top dignitaries and clergymen.

Those personally invited will have free accommodation and foods.

He cautioned APC not to underrate PDP as they still parade men of consequence even though many of them have since defected to APC.

“We must not overlook the opposition PDP. There are vastly experienced politicians who are still in PDP. They are grand old masters in the art of election and politicking in the state.

“PDP is still very formidable. They have good materials and competent men. Let’s not lose sight of that. And this is why we must be very careful with whom APC in the state picks as flagbearer in 2023. We have to pick a man that can match PDP.

“APC must look at its comparative advantages. Look at men, like me, with vast experience, capacity, resources, competence, contents and competitiveness.”

Owan-Enoh further cautioned APC to be careful in its choice of candidate in order to avert another internal bickering and division.
