The Cross River State government has purchased two more aircrafts to address the persistent challenges of flight delays and cancellations affecting travelers to and from the state.

Governor Bassey Otu stated this yesterday when he received the two new aircrafts at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Governor Otu, accompanied by top government officials and dignitaries, described the acquisition as a major milestone.

Otu said his government is commited to revitalizing the state’s aviation sector and boosting regional connectivity.

According to the Governor, the initiative is in line with his administration’s broader vision to strengthen infrastructure, promote tourism, and attract investment into the state.

At his last press parley with journalists in his office two months ago, Otu had disclosed the coming of the additional aircrafts, which has now increased the Cally Air fleet to six. The airline is still being operated under the brand Aero Contractors whilst the government is still battling with completing avionics technicalities with appropriate agencies.
