Cross River celebrates 10 Nigeria Government appointees

Ten newly elevated public servants from Cross River State serving in top federal government positions have been celebrated by the Cross River State government.
They were given awards of honour by the state governor at dinner held at the Transcorp Hotel, Calabar where top dignitaries witnessed.
The honorees included Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye; Minister of Sports, Senator John Owan-Enoh, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu and Hon. Justice Jane Esienanwan Inyang of the Appeal Court.
Others are six Assistant Inspectors General of Police AIG Okon Effiong Okon, AIG Echeng Eworo, AIG Paul Ojeka Odama, AIG Patrick Ogon Edung, AIG Susan Horsefall (rtd) and AIG Emmanuel Effiom.
Speaking at the event, Governor Bassey Otu said they were all identified for their roles and commitment to the service and building of the nation.
Otu commended President Bola Tinubu for granting them opportunities to serve.
He said the awards will not be limited to the ten, disclosing that there are many other illustrious sons and daughters of the state whom they will still celebrate in future.
Speaking on behalf of other honourees, Justice Jane Esienanwan Inyang of the Appeal Court said they will continue to work to lift the banner of the state higher.
Also, Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye commended Tinubu for the opportunity.
He said Governor Otu has made a wise effort in staging the award event, maintaining that it goes farther to uniting the people.
Also speaking, Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa commended the celebration, assuring that the army was poised to stem spate of insecurity in the country.
