Two more higher institutions are to be established in Cross River State this year.
This follows the governor’s assent into law the Bills to establish the Cross River State University of Education and Entrepreneurship, Akamkpa and the Cross River State College of Agriculture and Forestry.
The State House of Assembly recently deliberated and passed the bills to the governor for his assent.
The governor and State council also gave considerations and approvals to several other Memos presented before them by Exco members.
Environmentalists and forestry experts have urged the government to immediately set machineries for the school to come up.
They said the College of Agriculture and Forestry will help in their conservation efforts and dissuade deforestation in the state.
