By Akpan David, Calabar
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Cross River State is now restrategised to recover its ‘stolen mandate’ come next general election.
This was disclosed in a statement by the social organising secretary, Oku Eyo Oku ahead of its May 1st 2021 stakeholders meeting in Calabar.
He said that the SDP is the only alternative party with a very good party ideology, discipline, values and ethics.
He said the stakeholders have laid out “modalities to recover the stolen mandate of the party since the 1993 Nigerian democracy
decline.”
Oku said they are now welcoming true and patriotic Nigerian citizens into the party, especially in Cross River State.
“We have increasing number of new members coming to register in the party in the state.”
He encouraged all the youths in Nigeria to join SDP and discover their potentials as political conscious citizens, adding that with SDP, Nigeria can be better again.
He also added that they will enforce their resolutions to salvage Cross River State and Nigeria political system come 2023 general election and beyond.
