Widows in Cross River State have given their little to support the governorship campaign fund of Sandy Onor/Emana Duke Amawhe PDP ticket for Governor of Cross River State 2023.

The donation was done Friday in Calabar.

The widows, led by the the Akpabuyo president, Deaconess Chief Agnes Dan said they are aware of the humongous financial demands to run a Governorship Election.

“We know that campaigning for such a high office can be expensive. Nevertheless, even though we do not have much because we are Widows, we have looked at and followed your campaign programmes. We believe your sincerity, we have decided to give our Widows’ mite as donation to your campaign”.

Dan said that the Widows in the state had never been political but that having seen the undeniable capacity, intellect and love for Cross River’s people the Sandy Onor/Emana Duke combination, they have decided to pitch their unequivocal support for the team.

Two groups, The Imah Nsa Adegoke Foundation and Goodnews Widows Outreach organised the widows for the courtesy call on the PDP candidate.

Welcoming them, Sandy Onor thanked the widows for their support, stating that he was truly very touched about their Widows’ mite.

He promised that his government would definitely be involved in their lives, if God gave him electoral victory.
