Customs Service commended for posting Comptroller Umar to Katsina Command

Comptroller Mohammed Abubakar Umar with the Emir of Daura

The recent posting of Comptroller of Customs, Mohammed Abubakar Umar as Controller of Katsina State Command of Nigeria Customs Service has been described as the thing to happen to the Command. 

The assertion was made by the immediate past Speaker of the Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama while speaking to Journalists in Bauchi on Saturday. 

He expressed optimism that Katsina State Customs Command will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience as an Officer who is well trained and grounded in the duties of the Customs having risen to the top of the NCS. 

According to him, the Katsina Command of the Customs will get it right through his experience while the Federal Government will get more revenue with him in charge of affairs considering that it is a border state with Niger Republic.

Rahama described him as a man that has always stood for poor masses and Youths Constituency at the time of the need, not withholding back his hands of support.

He added that, “It is because of his leadership commitments and service to humanity that made the Bauchi Emirate Council to honour him with the traditional title of Chikaren Bauchi.” 

He expressed confidence that the traditional title which is an added responsibility on his head, will motivate him to do more service to the country and people generally. 

Rahama then solicited for support to enable him succeed in the national assignment given to him by the Federal Government stressing that Nigeria needs officers like him in service.
