The executive secretary also pointed out that the board has gone further to engage into partnership with value chain development programme and attributed its achievement and successes to be support of state government led-administration of Dr. Kefas through Ministry of Education’s unwavering support to state mass literacy education board.

Leme pointed out some challenges facing the board to include office accommodation, utility vehicles for operation, inadequate instructional materials and limited funds and appealed to state government consideration in that direction.

Kefas, represented by Commissioner of Education, Dr. Augustina Godwin noted with delight the number of enrolment recorded by mass literacy board as concerted efforts of a team work.

The governor while congratulating the graduated students assured of his administration’s commitment in education will not leave the board lagging behind in the midst of educational support in the state.

“The resolution of open literacy centers in all correctional facilities across the state is a good initiative and will be supported by this government. Education is not the business of the government alone, especially the non-formal education sub-sector. It is based on this that I challenge individuals, philanthropists, NGOs, faith-based organizations and even Corporate organizations to see the need of assisting non-formal education programmes,” Governor Kefas said.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Alhaji Idris Goje, appreciated Governor Kefas for prompt support to ministry of education and by extension to the mass literacy education board and urged management, staff and learners to reciprocate the state government’s gesture.
