The Director-General, Nasarawa State gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, Bishop Matthew has promised to deliver 100 per cent votes of the state for the party in next year’s general elections.
Mathew made the remarks in Lafia, the state capital.
He said that his team has put in place formidable structures to mobilise not just the LP members but all Nasarawa people, in general, to vote massively for Joseph Ewuga the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the state.
He declared that members of the campaign team are working in collaboration with party leadership in the state and other relevant stakeholders to make Nasarawa a catchment area for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate, Ewuga, the gubernatorial candidate and all the flag bearers of the party.
The former chairman of the Young People’s Party, (YPP) said “my team is working assiduously in tandem with relevant stakeholders to deliver both the governorship candidate Engr. Joseph Ewuga and the presidential candidate Peter Obi.
“The truth must be said that we are highly committed to deliver the LP in the state in the forthcoming general election.
“We are presently mobilising the grassroots level not just members, but all Nasarawa people in general, to vote massively for the LP flag bearers.
Mathew said Engr. Ewuga towered above the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, David Ombugadu in the aspects of competence and ability to take Nasarawa to a higher pedestal.
“We in the LP governorship campaign team share the conviction of many people of Nasarawa and we are sure Ewuga is capable of winning the governorship election and can fix Nasarawa”, he said.
“Engr. Ewuga has proven to everybody that he can do it. He has been developing people. He has plans, he can change this state for the better, he has the experience, exposure and capacity.
”Currently, the state is in a bad shape. Only the combination of Engr. Ewuga and his running mate can solve the problems of insecurity, kidnapping, terrorism, banditry, pension and gratuity among others.
“Take it or leave it, it is only Ewuga that can perform the needed magic Nasarawa people are waiting for and take us to the promised land”, Mathew declared.
