The gesture, according to the chairman, was to support NDLEA in the fight against illicit drugs and psychotropic substances use and trafficking, especially among the youths.
He made the donation on Friday, when the Nasarawa State Commander of NDLEA, Mr Peter Onche-Odaudu visited the area.
Usman said that the building was 95 per cent completed and would soon be officially handed over to the agency to begin operation.
The visit of the Commander and his team to area in furtherance of the agency’s War Against Drugs Abuse (WADA) received the blessing of the Andoma of Doma, Alh. Ahmadu Aliyu-Oga, who hosted a townhall in the palace.
Aliyu-Oga, took time to explain extensively in clear terms to his subjects, the effects and consequences of drug abuse, while declaring his unwavering support to NDLEA to succeed.
The royal father ordered all present at the townhall, especially those in leadership positions, to take the message that henceforth, anyone caught dealing in drugs and other psychotropic substances should be reported and made to face the wrath of the law.
“Any of my cabinet members found soliciting the release of any drug dealer will pay dearly, ” he said.
He, therefore, solicited the presence of the NDLEA Command in the area to boost the fight against drugs.
In his remarks, Onche-Odaudu appreciated the royal father and Doma Local Government for their support to NDLEA toward tackling the menace of drugs abuse and trafficking.
He maintained that fight against drug abuse being championed by the agency required the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to achieve the desired result for the benefit of society.
The townhall had in attendance religious leaders, district heads, women and youth leaders, market leaders, heads of security agencies in the area amongst others.
