Asiwaju Bola Tinubu
By Bernard Balogun
The enormity of hatred for him was legendary.
So many wedges were deliberately placed before him, wedges they thought would slow him down and make his journey into Aso Rock unsuccessful, a mirage.
They also came up with unprintable stories about his birthplace, his parentage, his educational pursuit and unsubstantiated drug case. All orchestrated to demarket and demean his person in the eyes of the Nigerian electorates.
When these were not working in their favour, they sought help from the pulpits. And that provoked the Eternal God of Ages. God in His Majesty looked at the stupidity of men. Their recourse to the Holy Temple was their greatest undoing. The fake Pastors they went to seek spiritual help from in their temples lied. These fake Pentecostal pastors told Nigerians what God never told them.
That provoked God. Why this quantum of hatred for an individual?
Did l not commanded you to love one another? God must have quizzed at them.
The surprising thing! Why would they forget that our God is the God of justice and fairness?
It has never been known, any one so passionately hated by many, especially on unjust grounds, becomes God favourite. Were they so forgetful or plainly an act in the pursuit of political vendetta? The story of Joseph and his brothers in the Bible readily comes to mind.
That was (that is) how God in His graciousness stepped into the affairs of His anointed and beloved son, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. God took over his fight.
It is therefore no surprise. Against all conceivable odds and wedges put before him, God divinely elevated Tinubu above all adversities.
God gave Tinubu victory, not men. In fact, his victory defies human explanations.
Tinubu victory should teach each one of us a lesson. Do not curse a man God has not cursed. Never you rejoice at the misfortune or infirmity of one another.
From all point of views God turned their hatred for Tinubu into a bountiful blessing, a blessing that has landed him into Aso Rock. Praise God.
Put your trust in God, not in men. Tinubu did exactly that.
