DR Congo government to launch investigations into activities of Olumba Obu’s organisation

The Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs Democratic Republiic of Congo, Dr Zenon Mukongo Ngay has said that they want to launch series of investigations into the activities of a spiritual organization, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, founded by a renowned Nigerian spiritual leader which is about to re-establish presence in their country.

The vice minister said the organisation and its membership even in his country look strange and astonishing but that they will support its growth in DRC.

He told a delegation of the organization from the Nigerian headquarters in Calabar led by Christ Ambassador (Dr) Amah Williams of Akwa Ibom State University which paid courtesy call on him and other government officials in Kinshasa though they were pleased to receive them yet they will study them, if found genuine would collaborate extensively.

“The message of peace and unification you have brought to us is so powerful, yet we are going to carry out spiritual and physical investigations about your organisation. We will get back to you upon conclusion of our investigations.

“You people are unbelievably astonishing. “

He wondered if going barefooted will not easily make them to step on nails or be bitten by crawling pests.

To aid in their investigations, he had collected contact numbers of the team members as other details, promising that the Government of DRC will support them at the end of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the presence of the delegation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kinshasa, the DRC national capital attracted a lot of attention and caused a stir.

Many of the Congolese followed them all about the streets. some who were not scared took their pictures and asked questions.

Dr Williams said, “We have been busy since our arrival in Kinshasa since Tuesday receiving inquiries regarding who we are, what our Organization is all about and who our leader is.

“Yesterday increasing numbers of people called for counselling. A white woman even called us aside to make inquiries.”
