Eid-El Adha: Bauchi Muslim Ummah urged to use period for sober reflection, make amends

Muslims in Bauchi state have been urged to consider the period of the Eid-El Kabir Sallah for sober reflection with a view to making amends on all activities undertaken within the last one year.
The call was contained in a goodwill message by the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State.Rt Hon Auwal Mohamed Jatau who fecilitated with the State Governor Senator, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir Sallah Celebration.
While congratulating people of the state on the auspicious and sacrificial occasion, the Deputy Governor urged Muslims in the State, called on the people of the state to remain calm and conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the sallah period as well as to pray for peace and stability of Nigeria and Bauchi State.
The Deputy Governor who congratulated the State Governor for a memorable Eid-El-Kabir in the Holy land, equally wished him and all pilgrims from the state a successful and hitch free pilgrimage.
The Deputy Governor urged Muslims in the state to consider the period for sober-reflection on their activities within the last one year with a view to making amends and forge ahead.
Auwal Jatau also called on the people of the state to remain calm and conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the festivities as well as to pray for peace and stability of Nigeria and Bauchi State.
Auwal Jatau further called on the people of the state, both Muslims and Christians to pray for peace to continue to prevail in the state and adequate rainfall to have a bumper harvest.
The State Deputy Governor used the period to pray for peace and tranquility of the state and the country, and called on the people to continue to be law abiding to the constituted authorities
He reiterated his total support and loyalty to the State Governor, Sen. Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir in his quest to uplift the living standard of people through the provision of infrastructural facilities as contained in a statement by Sani Muazu Ilelah, Press Secretary, Deputy Governor’s office.
