The Aren Eggon, Justice Ahmed Ubangari-Alaku, has urged muslim faithful and citizens to live peacefully with one another to bring development to Nasarawa State and Nigeria in general.

Ubangari-Alaku stated this while delivering his Eid-el-Kabir message on Friday in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

Also speaking, Mr Ibrahim Uthman Angbolo, a former Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism urged muslim faithful to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to reflect on the virtue of obedience, sacrifice, and compassion as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

Angbolo called on the people of the state to sustain support for the federal-led Government of President Bola Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi Sule to enable them to deliver more dividends of democracy for the citizens.

He urged the people of the state, particularly the youth to shun acts of violence, support the government at all levels, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and the country.

“We are grateful to Almighty Allah for witnessing this day, the significance of Eid-el-Kabir lies in sacrifice and submission to the will of God, as a people, we must continue to imbibe these virtues in our daily lives,” he said.

Earlier in his sermon, Deputy Imam of Nassarawa Eggon Central Mosque, Ibrahim Lima harped on the importance of love and peaceful coexistence among citizens for the overall development of the state.

Lima, while highlighting the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, encouraged Muslim faithful to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to God, and also imbibe the teachings and hadith of Prophet Muhammad.
