The sudden death of a prolific midfielder, Mohammed Lawan Monguno yesterday shocked Borno Football community and beyond. Late Monguno died following a brief illness. His burial yesterday saw a tumoltous crowd of sympathizers which cut across all walks of life within and outside the state.
The warriors players led by captain Lucky Erumiya and senior players condoled the deceased brothers at their family house in Hausari Babban line Maiduguri. The team proceeded to 1000 housing estate where they also condole their Technical adviser, Coach Babaganaru.
Similarly the chairman Elkanemi warriors, Alhaji Sheriff Bukar and board members of Elkanemi warriors Fc who were also at the burial proceedings expressed shock over the demise of their midfielder Mohammed Lawan Monguno.
They prayed Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the irriparable lost.
The third day prayers comes up tomorrow by 6:30 am at the Babban line family house.
