Plateau Our Heritage Revival Initiative (POHri) has applauded Justice Nafisat Musa for reinstating Hon. Isaac Kyale Kwallu as the Executive Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The Jos High Court Judgment of Friday 17th September, 2021 presided over by the Judge, also ordered Abdulmalik Yusuf Haruna who was sworn in after the state government sacked Kwallu to vacate the office with immediate effect.
According to the POHri in a press release signed by Hon. Alex Kwapnoe and Comrade Friday Bako; Chairman and Secretary respectively, “this judgment has proven that the Judiciary is beginning to live up to its expectation and becoming the last hope of the common man.
“As a Legal Luminary and as a law abiding Governor who knows the implication of the judgement, we call on the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong to immediately reinstate the embattled Chairman and act fully in line with the Court ruling.
“As a group, we believe in respect for rule of law and strict adherence to court rulings.
We commend the Judiciary for the impartial and unbiased ruling in the case as this judgment has set a precedence that will further strengthen and stabilize our democracy going forward”, it stressed.
The body then congratulated Hon. Isaac Kwallu for the victory and laud his show of maturity and diplomacy by not taking law into his hands all through the case, which it noted was a “demonstration that he is a true Democrat and lover of rule of law”
The POHri further called on the citizens to continue to follow the right processes and not to resort to violence; no matter what their grievances are.
