By Ahmed A. Usman, Kafanchan

The Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Isa Muhammadu, has commended his subjects for their commitment to peaceful coexistence, attributing the relative stability in the area to their devotion to God, especially during the 2025 fasting period.

Speaking during the annual breaking of fast (Iftar) at the weekend in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the Emir noted that adherents of the two major religions, Islam and Christianity, have demonstrated a firm resolve to live in harmony and urged them to sustain the trend for divine blessings and societal development.

He also appreciated President Bola Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, and lawmakers from the zone for their role in securing the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and the Federal Medical Center, Kafanchan, both of which he described as major milestones for the region’s growth.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Council, Mr. Peter Tanko Dogara, praised the Emir’s efforts in fostering unity across religious divides and assured that his administration would build on the existing peace to attract more developmental projects, particularly in road infrastructure.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jema’a Local Government Chapter, Venerable Emmanuel Markus, also lauded the Emir’s inclusive leadership, saying his role in attracting the Federal Medical Center, Kafanchan, underscores his commitment to the welfare of all residents. He urged other stakeholders to emulate the monarch’s example.

Similarly, the Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Jema’a Local Government Chapter, Alhaji Abubakar Al-Hassan, commended the Emir for bringing the people of Southern Kaduna together during the holy month of Ramadan. He described the event as a reflection of the unity and peace being enjoyed in the region, while appealing to Governor Uba Sani to complete all ongoing projects to accelerate development in Southern Kaduna.
