Emir of Gazargamu in Yobe loses sister at 90

The elder sister to the Emir of Gazargamu, Alhaji Tijjani Ahmed Saleh, Hajja Hauwa Lawan Salihu, is dead. She was aged 90 years.

She died Tuesday night at the resident of her son who is also Yobe State commissioner for Local Government and Cheiftancy Affairs, Yarima Lawan Mamoud, in Damaturu, the state capital.

She was survived by two children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, amongst them the Emir of Gazargamu. She was buried on Wednesday according to Islamic rites.

In a message, the Emir of Bade, Alhaji Abubakar Suleiman expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of the Bade Emirate Council and people of Gashua local government to the Emir of Gazargamu and her sons.

In a commiseration message issued by the Managing Director, Tipple Cee Investment Nig Ltd. Ibrahim Mohammed Jirgi, described the deceased as a highly disciplined and honest sister who trained her children on the path of Allah. He comforted the Emir to take solace in the fact that his sister lived a good life, devoted to serving Allah and humanity.

He prayed Allah the Almighty to grant the soul of the late Hajja Hauwa Aljannah Firdausi and the fortitude for the family, the entire people of Gazargamu Emirate to bear the irreparable loss.
