Emir of Jama’a in Kaduna celebrates silver jubilee with special prayers

The Emir of Jama’a in Kaduna state, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Isa Muhammad II celebrated his 25th year anniversary on the throne with special prayers.

The 11th emir was installed on the November 23, 1998 by the then military Governor of the state, Col. Umar Farouk Ahmed (rtd).

Second of its kind since his ascension to the throne, Islamic scholars from across the eight local government areas of Kaduna South Senatorial District participated in the special prayers.

Traditional title holders including the Oba of Yoruba and Eze Igbo in Jama’a emirate and other traditional title holders from far and near also graced the occasion.

The Chief Imam of Jama’a Central Mosque, Kafanchan, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Qassim who led the special prayers thanked Allah for allowing the reign of Emir Muhammad Isa Muhammad to witness tremendous development.

He described the Emir as the leader who brings people together to ensure peace and progress continue among them, regardless of their tribe or religion.

Earlier speaking, the Acting Committee Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Garba Maisukuni (Kuyambanan Jama’a) said the prayers is to thank the Almighty God for the Silver Jubilee of the emir on the throne but the grand reception that will witness cultural heritage, emir’s biography and his achievements is coming up next month December in the presence of top government officials, politicians and other traditional rulers.

Also, the federal lawmaker representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Daniel Amos congratulated the Emir on his 25th year anniversary on the throne.
