The remains of four aides killed by gunmen at Pataskum’s Emir convoy had been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
Daily trust reports that gunmen attacked the Emir’s convoy at Maraban Jos along Kaduna_ Zaria road around 2:00 am Wednesday and claimed the lives of four aides.
The burial took place shortly after a prayer to the deceased have been offered amidst thousands of crowd at Pataskum Emir’s palace in Potiskum Local government area of Yobe State.

Alhaji Hamza Maidede who also witnessed the burial said two Emirs of Tikau and Damagum and representatives of others were present receiving condolence as Emir of Pataskum Alhaji Umaru Mai Bubaram is still in Kaduna.
Our correspondent gathered that the Emir of Pataskum is still in Kaduna under appropriate care despite it was not clear whether he sustained any injury or not.
The Chairman Council of Chiefs Yobe State and Emir of Fika, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa had extend condolence to the Pataskum Emirate.
The Emir who spoke Thursday through his media aide Mohammed Abubakar.
The Emir Fika condemned a deadly terror attack on the convoy of Emir of Pataskum by armed men on the outskirts of Kaduna along Kaduna-Zaria express way recently.
“We are deeply saddened by the news on the gun attack, which was carried out against the convoy of His Royal Highness Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya”. He said.
“We once again condemn this heinous gunmen attack and wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, speedy recovery to the injured and convey our condolences to the Pataskum Emirate Council and entire people,” he added. (Daily Trust)
