EndSARS: Adamawa judicial commission submits report

The Adamawa state Government have received the report of the judicial Commission of Inquiry on EndSARS protest and police brutality.

The Commission submitted its reports Government House Chambers in Yola, the state capital to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, noting that 13 memoranda with exhibits were received from victims of police brutality.

The commission’s chairman, Justice Adamu Hobon (rtd), said, “the commission received a total of 13 memoranda from the affected individuals together with their documentary evidences.

The commission chairman noted that they were given the mandate with five specific terms of references on fact finding within which to submit its reports in six months.

“Some of the lost suffered rangeing from mental trauma, physical body pains, lost of properties and human lives, some of which are not quantifiable in monetary terms”, he said.

In his remark on the report, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri vowed to implement the recommendations by ensuring those culpable are punished according to the laws of the land.

He said, “one thing I’ll assure you is that this report would be studied and all the recommendations will be implemented raw.

“I also believe all the 13 cases mentioned, were treated based on merit; and we’re also going to treat them on the strength of their solutions”, he said.
