Ben Adaji, ex aspirants’ spokesman

»Governor Bello a failure

The forum of former elections aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has kicked against the any indirect primaries to be conducted by the party for the November 2019 governorship election in the state.

The forum pointed out that any endorsement of indirect primaries was a decision of the governor and his hand-picked appointees, does not reflect the collective position of the people and will be stoutly rejected.
The spokesman of the platform, Mr Ben Adaji, made this known in a press briefing in Jalingo, Taraba State, the outcome which he emailed to Apex News.
According to him, the people of state are looking forward to a credible leader and would not take any kind of imposition of candidate in the people.
Adaji noted that any attempt to impose the current Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello would be suicidal and may result in the replication of the Zamfara State experience for the party.
The spokesman said “Kogi State is bleeding and the people deserve a chance to choose a leader of their choice adding that any form of imposition of candidate on the people could have grave consequences for the party in the state. This is a governor that has failed the people and the party. The people of Kogi will reject him and any other candidate would defeat him. For our great party to retain power, it is imperative that the people are allowed to choose a candidate they want through direct primaries.”
