Ex-millitants issue OML30 surveillance contractor ultimatum

A group under the auspices of the Niger Delta Aborigines, (NDA) has issued a 2-week ultimatum on the Management of Ocean Marines Security Limited over allegation of deliberately undermining the interest of the ex-militants in the Niger Delta region for reason of greed and arrogance which said it was ready to teach the Managing Director of the company a lesson of his life.

Goodluck Seminitary disclosed this to our correspondent in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Wednesday, after the meeting of core stakeholders in the Niger delta region warning that only payment up to date of all the arrears owed those who have been criminally shortchanged by retired Pilot Hosa since April 2019 when he took the surveillance contract can stop the planned onslaught and possible renewed massive bombing of all the oil and gas facilities across OML30.

According to the group, Hosea who is the MD of the company who was awarded the surveillance contract of OML30 in 2019 has been going about the business without carrying the oil and gas pipelines bearing communities/tribes along in gross disobedient to the instruction given given him by the FG to work with all stakeholders he met on the job.
Hosa, a retired Pilot took over the surveillance contract from Bice Resources Limited in April 2019 and according Seminitary, he was warned to ensure regular payment to ex-militants he met on the job but shortly after taking over the surveillance job, the Edo State-born retired army personnel who described as a traitor by the NDA allegedly shortchanged the stakeholders who were on the job with Bice Resources for nothing other greed noting only aggressive approach will make Hosa pay threatening a full blown hostility against the company.

Seminitary noted that Hosea epitomises perfidy saying he cannot be trusted especially when it comes money because integrity was alien to him wondering why he thought he could abruptly decide not pay his workers who are securing the OML30 for him on whose behalf it says Hosea earns huge sums of money from the Federal Government.

The group noted that serving security chiefs and the presidency had called and warned Hosea on the dangers and consequences of his refusal to pay for job done by ex-militants but he chose to ignore the warnings saying; “we would teach Hosa to learn how to honour agreements because we shall make the work very difficult for him to do. Our men are on ground protecting facilities while he smiles to the banks every month without paying and in some cases he selectively pay very few persons pittance as against what Bice Resources paid hitherto. In two weeks, if he refuses to pay, the world will know that our group have endured enough,” Seminitary stated.
