Renovation work has commenced at the Shendam General Hospital, thanks to the intervention of Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong.
Senator Lalong is renovating some parts of the hospital within his Constituency projects under the 2024 budget.
This was contained in a statement by Dr Makut Simon Macham, Special Adviser on Media to Senator Lalong.
The first phase of the renovation which has commenced involves the complete overhaul of the entire administration block, x-ray building and toilet facilities.
According to Senator Lalong, the intervention became necessary because of his passion to improve the health of his constituents.
He assures that more of such interventions will be carried out in other locations within the coming months and years.
In a related development, work on the construction of classrooms in some areas across the Senatorial zone has progressed steadily.
The Legislative Aide to Senator Lalong, Hon. Nandom Pennyap Exo and Liaison Aide Edward Velwan Waziri visited Langtang North to present solar power lights donated by Senator Lalong.
They paid a visit to the acting Ponzhi Tarok who appreciated the Senator for his concern to the people.
They also inspected the classroom construction project.
