CAN Youths present an award to NCPC boss, Rev. Pam

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam has implored youths in the country to desist from negative tendencies.
He expressed dismay on illegal methods many youths are looking for money including involvement cybercrimes, banditry, kidnapping with the latest being blackmail.
Rev. Pam made the remarks when he received a combined delegation of Northern and Southern Zones of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Youth in his office in Abuja Wednesday.
The Executive Secretary described as very unfortunate how youths in Nigeria have taken to negative things in order to get cheap money.
He, however, noted that hope is not lost with the activities of CAN Youth urging them to correct the vices among their ranks.
According to him, whenever they see evil, they must act quickly and correct the situation.
Rev. Pam also intimated them of plans to undertake Youth Pilgrimage where apart from enhancing the faith, they can be taught agricultural production.
He encouraged them to meet politicians, business people where they can raise fund for pilgrimages rather than wait for the government.

Spokesman of the delegation and Southern CAN Youth leader, Ambassador Ekiye C. Ekiye said Rev. Pam is an inspiration to them and had uplifted the Commission through many innovations.
These include introduction and pioneering of pilgrimage to Jordan and initiating programmes for staff motivation.
He urged the Executive Secretary not to be distracted by people who are trying to pull his down but focused on delivering the goods.
According to him, Rev. Pam was appointed when the integrity of the NCPC was at stake and he was able to reposition things within his few years in office.
