Members of the Faithspiration Initiative have been encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith, regardless of the pressures and challenges of life.
The charge was given by an Anglican priest of the Diocese on the Niger, Rev. Uchechukwu Nzegwu, during a sermon themed “Faith in Action” at the group’s New Year prayer meeting held at SS John and Paul Parish, Awada, Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Rev. Nzegwu emphasized that faith in God must be strong, unwavering, and Christ-centred. He urged members to allow their faith inspire others and draw them closer to God, noting that genuine faith should produce positive outcomes in line with the group’s slogan, “Inspire, Christify and Flourish.”
The Cleric, who is also the Vicar of Bethany Anglican Church, Federal Housing Estate 3-3, Onitsha, stated that true faith should glorify God and be firmly rooted in trust in Jesus Christ, His promises, and His works.
According to him, faith in action is a practical faith that yields results, motivates diligence, and encourages total reliance on God as both the source and sustainer of life.
“We encourage people not to give up on God. Many lose faith because they expect God to act according to their own timing and plans. We must learn patience and trust in God,” he said.
Rev. Nzegwu described Abraham as the father of faith, noting that his patience and trust in God’s promises eventually led to abundant blessings.
Also speaking at the event, Rev. Fr. James Anyaegbu, Director of the Faith-Chat platform in Scotland, urged members to be disciplined and determined in pursuing their goals for the year.
Preaching on the topic “Leave No Jar Empty” (John 2:1–11), Fr. Anyaegbu encouraged members to be intentional and resourceful, assuring them that God would take care of areas beyond human control.
“Be disciplined, intentional, and resourceful in your pursuits, and God will grant you success,” he advised.
In her remarks, Mrs. Ezeliora Chinwe expressed satisfaction with the prayer meeting and commended the guest speakers. She also praised the founder and spiritual leader of the Faithspiration Initiative, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike, describing him as a priest deeply committed to the spiritual growth of young people, and prayed for greater grace upon his ministry.
A key member of the initiative, Brother Kingsley Ezeudu, described the meeting as life-transforming.
In his vote of thanks, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike expressed gratitude to the guest speakers, gospel singer Chioma Ezefeta, members of the Faithspiration Initiative Port Harcourt branch, and other individuals who contributed to the success of the programme.
