Fali community condemns attack on convoy of Adamawa Governor’s wife

Fali community in Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State has condemned the recent attack on the convoy of the wife of the Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Hajiya Lami.
The community equally distance itself from the violently attack on Adamawa state first Lady’s convoy that led to the destruction of about four vehicles at Muchalla Ward in Mubi North of the state.
The spokesman of the community, Mr Sunday Mathew stated this while addressing journalists at the Nigerian Union of Journalist press centre, Yola.
He noted that the attack on her entourage which include a press van carrying pressmen in her crew, “we denmed it fit to addressed you on the danger that this dastard act portends for us all our future if the government, security agencies and good men of conscience left this criminality unpunished.
He said first, as a people and a nation, “we unequivocally condemned this unfathomable and reprehensible attitude and action by this group of reprobates in Fali land. We are known to be peaceful, urbane and law abiding people and have equally have been known to be responsible in parenting our children but unfortunately, these peculier set of young men in our midst.
“Sponsored, aided abet and controlled by non other than a serving Senator, choose to throw away this noble upbringing we have inculcated in our children from time immemorial in the name of politics, quest for relevance and desperation for success.
“It should be known to all that the Diocesan Women Congress was not a political meeting ground but a convention for spiritual rejuvenation and interface with God by the Catholic Women of the Diocese of Maiduguri.
The first lady and her entourage who honoured the the invitation to artake in the blessing sought and share in the joy of the Catholic women only to attacked without cause or provocation masterminded by mannerless individuals.
It is on this premise that “we come together to call on the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command and State Director of Security, Department of State Services to carry a full investigation into this attack and ensure that the perpetrators and their sponsors are brought to book to serves ditterant to others.
The spokesman of Adamawa State Police Command, SP Sulaiman Nguroje confirmed the attack saying investigation into the matter is ongoing so as to fish out the suspected and brought to book.
