FGN through NDE, Benue government empowering youth

The Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Dr. Silas Ali Agara has disclosed that the federal government under President Bola Tinubu would continue empower Nigerian youth.

He made the statement when he received the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Hon. Samuel Ode who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Gudu, Garki, Abuja.

It could be recalled the NDE through the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment has facilitated thirty nine indigenous artisans of Benue State for advanced skills training in the Republic of Belarus.

The Director General of NDE, Hon Silas Ali Agara said, “It is the statutory mandate of the NDE to empower Nigerians from non skilled to skilled, self employed and even employers of Labour with professional training and retrained backgrounds.

“This is the result of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Belarus and NDE during the tenure of my predecessor.

“I appreciate the prompt response of Reverend Father Hycinth Alia, Governor of Benue State for his prompt response for the selection and sponsorship of the beneficiaries.

“I enjoin the beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of Nigeria with dignity and honor without illegal migration across the Sahara Desert or the Mediterranean Sea”. Said Hon Silas Ali Agara.

The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Hon. Samuel Ode thanks NDE for the effort in nation building.
