Professor Sulaiman Dalhat is Head, Finance Department, ATBU

Food production has been described as the bedrock of a growing economy and a panacea for food deficiency.
Professor Sulaiman Dalhat, Head of Faculty, Finance, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi stated this in an exclusive interview in Bauchi.
Professor Sulaiman Dalhat called on the youths to take to agriculture as a way out of the present economic downturn facing the country.
He also said that despite being a Professor, it does not prevent him from farming which he said it is something he had passion for over the years.
He advised the youths to embrace farming which he described as a way of augmenting hardships across the state.
He equally stated that many of his colleagues in the university are into farming which he said is encouraging.
Professor Sulaiman Dalhat however commended the state government for assisting farmers with inputs but added the government needs to do more to help the teeming population striving to make farming a lucrative business.
His farm which is located around Gubi Dam on the outskirts of Bauchi city had varieties of crops such as Rice, Maize, Soya Beans among others occupies 10 hectares of land stretching far on an expanse wide land.
