Former Bauchi deputy Governor commends APC network for recognizing achievements of Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan

A former Bauchi deputy governor, Architect Audu Sule Katagum has observed that projecting the achievements and contributions of political office holders would make them double their efforts of bringing developmental policie and programmes to their respective constituencies.
The former deputy governor however ,commended the efforts of the Northeast APC Network for celebrating, appreciating and supporting the contributions of the 9th Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan to the growth and development of the country, and Northeast in particular.
Katagum was speaking Saturday on the occasion of promoting the course of the Senate President Lawan, organized by the Northeast APC coalition Network held at BIC Plaza, where he hailed the group for initiating what is right for the country in a bid to move forward the nation’s political pursuits.
Arc. Audu Sule Katagum noted that the future of Nigerian democracy, hope of the common man and prosperity of the country lies squarely in the hands of the younger generation of this great nation of ours.
Former deputy governor Katagum who was represented by his personal assistant, Auwalu Sa’idu Madara, also appreciated the network for organizing such an important programme of promoting the political landscape of Nigeria’s asaenate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Bauchi immediate past governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar commended the Senate president for facilitating the establishment of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Development which today distributes palliatives and other assistance to the needy in our society.
Former governor Abubakar who spoke through his political aide, Comrade Aliyu Ilelah also asked the Senate President to reciprocate such gesture by the youths of propagating his ideals, achievements and contributions to the nation and constituents.
The Northeast APC Network chairman, Hon. Adamu Zailani has earlier in a welcome address recalled that Nigeria has been placed on steady pace of development by strong and patriotic leaders right from independence to date.
He said however that after the demise of the eventful days of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the emergence of the incumbent Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan is one of the divine revelation on the country that its future is brighter.
Zailani enumerated a number of contributions of the Senate president, notably among which was his enforcement for the passage of the Financial and Administrative Autonomy of Local Government Councils, State House of Assemblies and Judiciaries to address numerous development impediments.
“Moreso, he singlehandedly masterminded and sought for the support of his fellow Senators against the policy of fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government, which Dr. Lawan viewed as a direct attack on the common man to further worsen his situation”.
Zailani noted that one of the most pronounced advantages of democracy is to provide responsive and responsible leaders who would implement programmes in tandem with the plight of the common man to alleviate the hardships of lingering economic pains and create immense wealth for improved livelihood.
