Former chairman Nasarawa United FC, Lafia joins Karu LG race

The immediate past Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Isaac Danladi has obtained interest and nomination forms to run for the chairmanship position of Karu Local Government Area in the forthcoming LG poll with a promised to bring more transformation to the council if elected.

Danladi who is contesting on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), was the former chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club, Lafia.

Addressing newsmen shortly after purchasing his forms at the APC secretariat in Lafia, the retired Permanent Secretary, emphasized that Karu LG is currently in a state of decline and requires a leader with proven integrity and extensive experience to restore its vitality.

Danladi, who has bowed out after 35 years of meritorious service to the state, affirmed that he is well-equipped and if given the mandate he would do everything humanily possible to manage the council’s finances and internal revenue efficiently and effectively for the benefit of the people at the grassroots.

He, however, maintained that he has come with fresh ideas and innovations to politics which would serve the interest of the electorate, calling on the masses to rise to the responsibility of addressing issues of poverty and wealth creation by voting for him in the forthcoming chairmanship election.

According to him, his manifesto is people-oriented in complementing the efforts of Governor Abdullahi Sule to quicken the process of developing the huge potential abound in the local government.

He then expressed confidence in his ability to utilize available resources effectively.

His words, “I have a clear focus and a blueprint for the Karu’s development.”

Infrastructure and human development is the cornerstone of his agenda and pledged to make these his top priorities once in office.
